America needs the spirit that those founding fathers who decided to become traitors had.

I consider myself a Liberal. I support the Government having a hands on approach to the economy and keeping big businesses in check because they don't have the public interest in mind. I also want the government to have a HANDS OFF approach on social issues. This includes the 2nd ammendment. I believe law-abiding citizens have a fundamental constitutional right to bear arms.

So in theory, Liberals SHOULD favor LESS gun restrictions while Conservatives SHOULD favor MORE gun restrictions since Liberals want government with a hands off approach to social issues. But in reality, it's the opposite and I don't really know how it got that way.

So I believe in LESS government intrusion on the 2nd ammendment (and most Liberals should feel this way if they truly are Liberals).

I also believe that penalties for crimes involving guns should be more severe.
